Northwest Territorial Mint One Oz Silver, Coast Guard, 24K Gold Trim, Katrina

This rare piece is known in bronze, but it is extremely rare in silver with 24K gold trim. This deluxe challenge coin is struck in one troy ounce of 0.999 pure silver, and highlighted in 24 karat gold. According to the COA, these pieces were "handcrafted in the U.S.A." Produced by the Northwest Territorial Mint in Auburn, Washington. The obverse reads:

U.S. COAST GUARD / A SILVER LINING / IN THE STORM CALLED KATRINA

The original box, capsule, outer sleeve and COA (certificate of authenticity) are included. The outer sleeve shows signs of wear, but everything else is in great condition.
